Peter Hardaker

Born and educated in Yorkshire, Peter has worked in the Agricultural Industry all his working life; from workshop, to sales, for a Massey Ferguson Dealer in Yorkshire, to assistant service manager for John Deere Ltd.  As Territory Manager for John Deere, he signed Cornwall Farmers Ltd as a John Deere dealer in 1969 and he joined CFL in 1974 as Machinery Manager, progressing to Chief Executive for the 55 million pound Agricultural Supply Co-operative.
He retired in 2003 but continues his involvement in Cornish Agriculture a board member of the Cornwall Agri-food Council, representing the Council on the Cornwall Economic Forum, Cornwall Business Partnership and as a board member of the Rural Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Partnership.  He is also a director of Kernow Grain Ltd, vice chair of Duchy College and a member of the Royal Agricultural Association Council.
 
He is a Non- Executive Director of the Eden Project and a Non- Executive Director of the Isles of Scilly Steamship Company, a senior Huer, a member of Rotary and Chairman of the Grampound with Creed Parish Council.
